Castle in Nelson, New Zealand

An interesting property I found on Trademe today! Nelson receives most sunny days in New Zealand - worth considering don't you think?

Advertisement found here: http://www.trademe.co.nz/property/residential/for-sale/auction-459294157.htm

If you believe the saying 'my home is my castle' then this home will achieve your dream by making it a reailty.

If you want to stand out from the crowd, live in an amazingly unique home with stunning views across the ocean and the mountains in a very sought after location with an english village style charm, then you need to come on in and view this wonderful home. The locality boasts the stylish Monaco Resort Hotel and Restaurant as well as the ambient Old English Honest Lawyer Pub and just down the driveway is a delightful little cafe to pop into on your daily strool along the waterfront.

The property has everything a castle owner might expect with a grand entrance, including a mini moat, so all you need is your own knight in a suit of armour, and yes we have that too!

The castle has spacious 3 car garaging with workshop/office space, the downstairs area has a large, gracious entrance way with an impressive spiral stairway, a large rumpus/games/leisure room with toilet facilities, two single bedrooms with separate shower and toilet, a master bedroom with ensuite and a kitchenette area for guests who enjoy a nightcap!

Upstairs is a stunning, warm, sunny, large open plan lounge, dining and kitchen area leading out to an amazing wrap around deck for superb summer family living or entertaining? Off the lounge is a short passage way that leads to the magnificent master bedroom, bathroom, dressing room and attached office/studio. A separate toilet is also located in the passage way.

The 683m2 section is landscaped in an easy to care for fashion and has been well planned to enhance the setting. A reserve borders the property and the around corner is a boat jetty for those who also enjoy this hobby. You will fall in love with Monaco and all it has to offer.

Beautiful Nelson New Zealand

Clearly one of the most pristine beaches and coves in the entire world. Visit Nelson New Zealand!

Nelson New Zealand

Nelson is a city on the eastern shores of Tasman Bay, and is the economic and cultural centre of the Nelson-Tasman region. Established in 1841, it is the second oldest settled city in New Zealand and the oldest in the South Island.
Nelson received its name in honour of the Admiral Horatio Nelson who defeated both the French and Spanish fleets at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805. Many of the roads and public areas around the city are named after people and ships associated with that battle and Trafalgar Street is the main shopping axis of the city. Inhabitants of Nelson are referred to as Nelsonians.

Together with the town of Richmond, the Nelson Urban Area has a population of around 60,000 ranking it as New Zealand’s 9th most populous city and the geographical centre of New Zealand.
Nelson is well known for its arts and crafts, and each year hosts popular events such as the Nelson Arts Festival. The annualWearable Art Awards began near Nelson and a museum, World of Wearable Art, is now housed close to Nelson Airportshowcasing winning designs.
Nelson's Māori name, Whakatū,[2] means 'build', 'raise', or 'establish'. Nelson is one of the few New Zealand cities to have its own flag.
